Who founded The Curious Gift Co.?
The Curious Gift Co. was started by Kate do Forno, a reader, writer, and community builder from Chatham-Kent, Ontario. The shop grew out of a lifelong love of books and the simple belief that the best gifts carry a little meaning with them — something worth holding onto.
What kind of products do you sell?
We sell gifts for the readers, writers, and curious minds in your life. Think literary t-shirts and sweatshirts, book-lover tote bags, art prints, stationery, notebooks, and cozy reading accessories — many featuring original designs created right here at The Curious Gift Co. We also carry pieces from independent makers whose work feels like it belongs on the same shelf.
Who is The Curious Gift Co. for?
For the person who always has a book on the go. For the gift-giver who wants something that actually means something. For anyone who loves Canadian storytelling, cozy reading culture, and objects with a little personality. If that sounds like you — welcome.
Are your designs original?
Many of them are. A lot of what you'll find here was designed specifically for this shop, inspired by literature, Canadian landscapes, and a deep love of curiosity. Where we carry other makers' work, it's because it felt like it belonged here.
Do you support Canadian makers?
It's something we care about deeply. Whenever we can, we partner with independent Canadian artists and small brands whose work reflects thoughtful design and genuine storytelling. Shopping here means supporting small — and we think that matters.
Do you ship across Canada?
Yes — we ship across Canada and the United States. Most of our items are made to order and produced within 2–5 business days, with shipping typically taking 5–10 business days after that. You'll get a confirmation email with tracking once your order is on its way.
What is your return policy?
Because most of our products are made to order, we aren't able to accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. That said, if something arrives damaged, defective, or not quite right, please reach out within 7 days of delivery. Email us at hello@thecuriousgiftco.ca with your order number and a photo, and we'll sort it out.
Can I buy your products in person?
Not yet — but it's something we're working toward. We're exploring pop-up markets and local retail in Chatham-Kent, so keep an eye on our social channels and the shop for announcements.
